Posted on Andrew Woodhall24 May 2026 I booked a home visit for a post-purchase inspection of my i3 REX. The booking process was straightforward with a slot offered within a few days. Arthur and Connor arrived at 19.00 hrs. on Friday of the recent bank holiday weekend. They were both extremely professional and thorough and completed an additional, unbooked service item whilst on site. I was kept informed throughout the visit. A very helpful debrief was held, and they both set off home (several hours’ drive away) almost 2 hours after arrival. I have received the digital report today - following yesterday’s visit. Well done all at Wisley. See their YouTube channel and it's obvious that they know what they're talking about. So I forked out the £40 distance fee to get their mobile service here in Hampshire. Arthur and Connor arrived at my workplace in a Ford Transit kitted out as a mobile workshop. Arthur talked me through what they would do and asked if I had any particular concerns with the car. Very professional and reassuring. It turned out the front gaiters had split (a common problem) and I had them replaced. They checked the HV and 12V battery health - both good for a 5 year old i3. They advised me to replace the front discs when the pads get low (which they aren't yet). After the service I received an email with photos to support their findings. Very knowledgeable, no hard sell, and it all went very smoothly. A much nicer experience than servicing at a main dealer, and I felt I could trust them fully to do the right thing. Very knowledable about all aspects of the i3. Any points were brought to my attention in person during the service, and a minor panel adjustment was made FOC ! I got a comprehensive report and some photos of some minor points.
