I had also booked a "post purchase inspection", even though I have had the car nearly 5 years! 😄 Kian was brilliant, keeping me informed all the while, showing me what was going on (I am genuinely interested as I used to do all my own repairs years ago). He suggested changing cabin filter to which I agreed & he noticed the N/S front coil spring was corroding at the point where they break so fitted a new one, no extra labour as the old one has to come off anyway to swap top mount. Tightened drivers door handle, replaced missing little plastic grommet for that (I have been unable to find one myself) , & gave me a diagnostic report (Inc battery health) & checked all the likely areas that might need a future repair for my type of car (BMW i3). Overall really happy with their service, communication & quality/knowledge of the repairs & car. We were very pleased with how comprehensively the job was carried out. He was meticulous and knowledgeable, explaining a few issues that he found which we weren't aware of at the time of booking. All information on data sheets regarding the service was emailed to us. A very smooth experience from Chatting to Emma when booking, to being invoiced after the work was completed and all carried out on our own drive. The mechanic who attended was absolutely lovely and talked me through the work, answered all my questions and checked some other things whilst he was here. Thanks Wisely!Posted on Geoffrey Morgan13 April 2026 Before buying an i3 I did a lot of research on the car and what almost put me off was the likely cost of servicing, repairs and parts if I used BMW. Fortunately, during this research I discovered Wisely and although (unfortunately) they did not have an i3 at the time I needed one, I have recently used them for a post-sale inspection on an authorised used car from BMW. Kian did a full detailed check of the car, including via the ISTA system; 12v and main batteries at full strength and all seems fine. The wheels were also removed to check discs, suspension etc. Kian also kindly refitted the 12v battery vent pipe (which BMW had forgotten to do when they fitted a new battery!) and tightened both door handles - something else BMW claimed to have 'done their best with' but they were still a bit loose. On time (well, a bit early, but I was phoned beforehand), pleasant, friendly and professional service and a reasonable cost for a mid-BMW warranty check-up. The cost of BMW parts is still a worry (hopefully few will be needed), but at least the Wisely labour costs etc. are far less painful than BMW.
